If you haven't been watching the Cardinals play in September you've been missing out. They just won their 12th game in a row. This is something they have not done in 40 years. The last time was 1982 when they won the world series with Ozzie Smith, Willie McGee, Keith Hernandez and company. There have only been 8 teams in major league baseball history to win 12 in a row in September. The last time was 1999. This screams of the 2007 Rockies who went on such a monster run and probably would have won the World Series that year if only they hadn't of had to wait a week for the opponent and that cooled them off. A week ago they went on a big inning by hitting the ball the other way against the shift three batters in a row. This is how you make the shift go away and speaking of going away, it doesn't look like the Cardinals are going anywhere soon.
